Come and Get Your Commentluv!

It's all over the blogosphere already and this blog should have had it months ago but nevertheless I'm still proud to announce the addition of commentluv to this site! That's right, now when you comment here you'll automatically receive a (followed) link back to your most recent post!

I love my readers and commentators, you all rock AND roll, so if there's anyway I can make your viewing, reading, commenting or other experience here better let me know! Time to end this post before I drop another exclamation mark!.

To celebrate the day, it's my esteem pleasure to introduce a true musical legend, Redbone, playing their uber-hit, "Come and Get Your Love":

Yeah!

Come and get your commentluv!

Testing to make sure it doesn’t pull my posts!

A lot of new sites have been installing this plugin, with what looks like…good success with comments :) .

We shall see Susan! At least out of all the widgets and gadgets that could be added this one plugin for sure helps out people who comment here and in my eyes that makes it completely worth it.

P.S. Nice wordpress theme site, I’ve been looking for a new theme to change things up around here and saw quite a few nice ones in your directory.

I think it is a nice addition. I think I may have to look into downloading this plug in. It really helps give your readers some traffic since people can see what they last wrote.

I think it’s going to work out great. Let’s just hope it isn’t another SezWho…lol

Well at least this plugin is hosted entirely on my site so if someone else’s server goes down this blog is not affected!

Also, I personally like seeing commentluv on the blogs I visit so hopefully visitors to this blog feel the same way.

And yeah, this plugin does seem to be a lot better for visitors than simply having their comments rated.

Adam, do you still have this activated? It didn’t seem to work for me. If not, do you have anything to report about the plugin that we should know?

Adam Pieniazek September 8, 2008 at 2:04 am

Hmm, it is still activated Jonas, so I’m not sure why it didn’t work. Perhaps it is an issue with your site being in German. In either case I just updated t the latest version of commentluv so maybe that will fix it?

Wow this is a great plugin, nice to see that it is finally using Ajax as well. This reminds me of when Twitter started to use Ajax, forward progress on many fronts :)

James Spinosas last blog post..Reasons Why I Comment on “Nofollow” Blogs also

Adam Pieniazek October 11, 2008 at 1:16 pm

Thanks Mr Article!

James, it is one of the best plugins out there, IMHO. It’s relatively simple but has a huge huge payoff for bloggers and their communities.

Adam Pieniazek September 3, 2009 at 11:52 am

I ended up dropping both as the spam links were the overwhelming majority of people who get helped here. I often link out to frequent commenters in posts and that’s a much better way than dofollow/commentluv.
