I just received an e-mail from a good friend about an open casting call for the film The Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis and Rhada Mitchell. The film is a science-fiction story about a futuristic world where humans interact with each other via surrogate robots while every human sits at home in isolation. The film appears to be based of the graphic novels, The Surrogates
Below are the official details for the open casting call. Personally, I’m not gonna shower until then and try out for a dread role! (kidding…about the not showering part…being a “dread” sounds wicked cool)

feature film that will shoot in Boston for several weeks starting April 28.We are looking for men and women [AGE 18+] of all races and types.
We are particularly looking to cast SURROGATES, remotely operated
synthetic humans who are distinguishable from flesh-and-blood humans
primarily by their physical perfection. In this future world, any consumer
who can afford it can have an attractive looking SURROGATE replace them
in the real world.All Actors who wish to be considered for SURROGATE Roles should look
their BEST. That means Men, clean shaven and Women having done their
make up and hair to the very best of their ability, and dressed to impress!Not a SURROGATE? That’s ok, we also need all types to play “real
humans” and DREADS, a particularly downtrodden group of anti-

I am a local Lynn Residence in Massachusetts and I know there are a few parts of the movie being filmed at the top of my street. My boyfriend and his brother and sisters were all extra’s in the Crucible in 1994-1995, and both him and myself along with my two roommates would love to be a part of this great experience. We didnt know about the open casting call, and besides the 1 week working as child extra’s 12 years ago we have no experience, but our home is on the street being filmed.
Please let me/us know if there is any need for 2 females and 2 males all between the ages of 22 and 24 for any part in the film where extra’s are needed while shooting in Lynn, Ma.

I have no experience in acting but I have been told I’m a drama queen 🙂 Anyway, I’m 44 years old and would be interested in participating if there still are any extras needed. Hi!! I have lived in for 29 years and have always had to travel far and wide for extra work. I just did “My Best Friend’s Girl” after being chosen by Boston Casting in September of 07 and now I’m seeing film crews all over Lynn and feeling left out =( I know you have been filming for a while now and you may not have much more time, but I would LOVE if you would consider me for this film! I also bartended for 8 years 2 streets over from where you’re filming your chase scene and i know for a fact if you needed to film in a bar my former boss would probably be honored for you to use his place;it’s beautiful inside!
