After I published the, Umass Amherst – School of Management 697PP: Perspectives on Leadership, post last night I went to Pingoat (as usual) to ping a ton of sites and inform them of my latest post. Immediately, something caught my eye (I’m wicked observant), this not so usual message was posted at the top:
Pingoat is issuing a beta of a “very powerful top secret FREE service” that will “drive tons of quality, targeted traffic to your blog”…hmmm, count me in (free + quality = awesome). As it’s a top-secret beta invite only, I probably shouldn’t be sharing this tip with the rest of the blogosphere but I figure half the ‘sphere has seen it already; besides I’m a sharing person!
My guess is they’ll introduce a customized ping-trackback system that’ll scour your blog for content and report back similar blog posts for you to link to and ping. It makes sense consider they’re in the pinging business. It’s either that or they’ll start competing with the Technorati of the world by providing a directory of bloggers who use pingoat. Either way, I’m intrigued, pingoat rocks and their logo is kick-ass.
