Normally I don’t follow soccer too much but the Euro 2008 drew me in a little bit, as does the World Cup every four years. As my whole family background is Polish I obviously rooted for the Poles though I didn’t expect them to go too far. I lost interest once the Polish team got bounced from the tournament but now that the final is set and features one of my most hated national teams, the Germans, I’m back. Even though the German team has a few Polish players I still can’t in good conscious root for them. I’ve got to root for the western Europeans and hope Spain beats up on Germany! Vamanos Espana!

They’re normally a good team to support as they have one of the best national sides in the world: Barcelona.
I visited the city a few weeks back. Its incredible. You should go for a trip sometime. Word of warning though – all the signs and menus are in Catalan rather than Castillian (Spanish).
