Just like last year, I’d like to take a moment (just sit right there) to share with you my 2009 Final Four picks. As I haven’t watched much college basketball this year I likely will not fill out a bracket. However, since I got 75% of the Final Four correct last year, let’s expand it a bit this year and check out my Elite Eight picks:
- UNC beats Syracuse
- Duke beats Pitt
- UConn beats Missouri
- MSU beats Louisville
So that leaves us with a Final Four of:
- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Duke University
- University of Conneticut
- Michigan State
I then having UNC beating UConn for the national championship in a game for the ages.
And just for fun, here’s a few upsets in round one:
- USC over BC
- N. Iowa over Purdue
- Utah State over Marquette
- Maryland over Cal
- Morgan St. over Oklahoma
- American over Villanova
- Wisconsin over FSU
Now that all that’s out of the way:
TAR…HEELS…TAR…HEELS!
What are your Final Four picks?
I have Pitt, NC, Louisville, and UCONN in my final four. I have Texas beating Duke (I hate them) and also have WI winning in the first round, Go Bucky!
I’m cheering for the WI teams as well as the the two AZ teams..and heck why not Texas since I’m moving there soon. LOL

Good man for hating Duke. I’ve got some good stories about causing a little bit of mayhem on their campus from my days as a Tar heel. Though, their main quad setup is awesome. Basically, their main quad is surrounded by their dorms, which are like mini-frat houses. Went to a Kanye West/John Legend concert there and had a blast…still Dook sux!
So far Wisconsin and Arizona are looking good. Good man on picking the heels for the final four too.
Can’t believe Utah State lost by one point…so close to hitting on that upset pick!
